a. Which utility is easier to use and why? Msinfo32.exe was easier. Fresh Diagnose had too much information to dig through.
b. Which utility gives more information about your system? Fresh Diagnose has more information.
c. What is one advantage that System Information has over Fresh Diagnose? System Information was already on my laptop I didn't have to download and install it.
d. What is one advantage that Fresh Diagnose has over System Information? Fresh Diagnose is pretty, colorful, and has a lot more buttons.
e. Which utility do you prefer and why? System Information, it was easier to use, I didn't have to install it, and I didn't have to click all over the program trying to find the information.

Right click with mouse on empty spot on taskbar and drag the taskbar to the left.
4. If you are using a Vista computer press Win+Tab and describe the results. Are you using the Aero user interface? Start button, last icon on desktop, arrow on hidden notifications, notepad icon in taskbar, and IE quicklaunch were flashing. No, not using Vista Aero user interface.
Project 2-4:

I used Win+tab, alt+tab, and the arrow keys to open the c drive directory.
2. Unhide all the files in this folder. List the steps.
My files are all unhidden, but to get to the folder options, use the win+tab to open the start menu. Using Win+tab in start menu go to my name and use down arrows to computer, hit enter key. Using win+tab to the organize in the toolbar hit enter. Use arrows to get to folders and search options, hit enter. use win+tab to get to the general tab, use arrow key to move tabs to view tab. using win+tab go to advanced settings and use arrow keys to get to the hidden files and folders close folder by using the left arrow key. Use win+tab to go to OK and hit enter.
3. What is the exact size of the Pagefile.sys in bytes, and time and date the file was last modified. 2,336,948KB 8/29/2012 7:25AM

2. Create a folder under the root directory of the HD called \Temp. List the steps.
Go to start button click on computer double click on c drive. Right click on empty spot and choose new folder. Write temp on the folder name.
3. Add a subfolder to \Temp called\MyFiles. List the steps.
Double click on the temp folder, right click on the empty spot choose new folder, name it myfiles.
4. Create a text file in the MyFiles folder named Text1.txt. List the steps.
Double click on myfiles folder, right click choose new text document, name it Text1.txt
5. Create a shortcut in the MyFiles folder named Text1.txt List the steps.
Backed out of myfiles folder, right click choose send to desktop.
6. Rename the file Text2.txtOpen myfiles folder, slowly left click and left click again and rename to Text2.txt, hit enter, or highlight document, right click choose rename and rename folder, hit enter.

There was no error, the folder name was not changed the file name was changed, and was told to create a shortcut using the folder not the file. Also, changed the folder name in the root drive and still didn't get an error. The properties updates the name of the folder on the shortcut.
